January 28th, February 4th, February 11th, and February 18th there will be an adult ed class on Women in the Bible. We'll look at specific stories in which women are centered and talk about life in a patriarchal world. Bagels will be served. Warning note: many of the stories regarding women in the Bible involve sexual violence. Those sensitive to such talk should know that these classes will be a safe space in which modern day survivors of similar experiences are believed, respected, and allowed space to heal, but each person should use their own discretion in whether they are up for these kinds of conversations.
