Environmental Consortium
Monday, January 17, 2022 • 15 Shevat 5782
10:30 AM - 6:00 PMCongregation Ner Shalom would like to invite you to participate at our Environmental Consortium event on January 17th. We are hoping to create a day of outreach and education on a very special day this year. This year the Jewish Holiday Tu BiShevat coincides with Martin Luther King Day! Tu BiShevat, the Jewish New Year of the trees, is about appreciating the environment, specifically around trees that bear fruit and bring wellbeing. This is a special opportunity to engage and enlighten as many people as possible on the issue of Environmental Justice. This event will not only bring up Environmental Racism, Food Justice, Food Deserts, and other environmental injustices, but provide a way to make a difference in the community.
Please reach out if you are not only planning to attend but would like to participate in the planning or host a "vendor table"!
