Youth Group
Congregation Ner Shalom's youth group helps foster a strong Jewish identity among our youth. Our youth group members have fun while making lasting friendships within our temple, as well as throughout the community. They develop a social awareness as they participate in temple and regional events and activities. The programs blend social, religious, cultural, and social action events led by the members and adviser. We emphasize social action, helping the needy, and tikkun olam — making the world a better place for everyone. Events are held monthly and planned by our youth group members and youth adviser. All youth that are B'nai Mitzvah through twelfth grade are encouraged to join in youth group events. For more information, contact our youth group director.

Thursday, Mar 28th 10:30a to 11:30a
Join us the last Thursday of each month at 10:30 on zoom to participate in our Book Club! This month we are reading The Muralist by B. S. Shapiro. When Alizée Benoit, an American painter working for the Works Progress Administration (WPA), vanishes in New York City in 1940, no one knows what happened to her. Not her Jewish family living in German-occupied France. Not her artistic patron and political compatriot, Eleanor Roosevelt. Not her close-knit group of friends, including Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, and Lee Krasner. And, some seventy years later, not her great-niece, Danielle Abrams, who while working at Christie’s auction house uncovers enigmatic paintings hidden behind works by those now-famous Abstract Expressionist artists. Do they hold answers to the questions surrounding her missing aunt? -
